Architectural Kinzogi
Amid the widespread denial across the world regarding the October 7th tragedy, the importance of preserving the destruction caused by war becomes paramount to ensuring the commemoration of memory and trauma. "Mending the Fragments" is located in a house in Yehud that was damaged by shelling. This project proposes an innovative rehabilitation method—Architectural Kintsugi—that incorporates signs of destruction as a central element of the aesthetic. The traditional Japanese method of Kintsugi, which embraces damage as an integral part of an object, has been adapted to an architectural context: "Architectural Kintsugi.
